Dr. Bert Lau

Dr. Bert Lau attended University of Hawaii from 1975-1978, obtained his BS in Animal Science from Colorado State University, and his DVM degree from Colorado State University in 1982. He started his practice first as Oahu Veterinary House Calls. The business was moved to Coolidge Street in 2000 and the practice name was changed to Island Veterinary Care, LLC.  He has served as Vice President and President of the Honolulu Veterinary Society, a radio talk show host "Pets and Vets" on KGU for 4 years and worked as the head veterinarian at Animal Quarantine Station for 5 years. He is currently an advisor to the DCCA licensing board.  In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, cooking, eating and gardening.
