Christine Lau- Practice Manager
Christine Lau is a graduate of Maryknoll High School and the University of Hawaii. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 30 years. She helped her husband, Dr. Bert Lau, build their practice, Island Veterinary Care LLC (previously Oahu Veterinary House Calls), while raising their three children. She is excited to now work with daughter, Dr. Rachael Lau, who has joined the practice.
Her role as practice manager is to handle client communications, account management, human resources, and front office responsibilities.
Christine has been an active volunteer and past president of the following organizations: Junior League of Honolulu, the Friends of the University of Hawaii Jabsom Medical School, and the Punahou Parent Faculty Association. She also served as the co-chair of the Punahou Carnival in 2004. She is an avid traveler and lover of great cuisine. Her explorations include adventures in the USA as well as visits to countries in Asia, Europe and South America.
Adrienne graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Zoology. She loves working hands on with all types of animals and finds it gratifying to help families who love their pets. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, cooking, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She has a dog named Boomerang and a cat named Tucker.
Christina- Customer Service Representative
Born and raised on Oahu, Christina graduated from Kalani high school and attended Kapiolani Community College where she majored in Liberal Arts. She always had a passion for caring for animals, starting out as a volunteer at the Hawaiian Humane Society and The Honolulu Zoo. In her career over the past 15 years, she has gained knowledge and experience in the companion animal veterinary field by performing veterinary assistant, technician, reception, and managerial duties.. When not at work, she enjoys catchup up on Netflix series and cuddling with her Scottish Fold cat "Dini".
Natalie- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Natalie grew up in a military family and spent her early years living and travelling in Europe. Before moving to Hawaii in 2021, she earned a BA in English and completed an AA in Veterinary Science earning her certification from Maryland as a Registered Veterinary Technician and Fear Free Certification. Natalie has over ten years’ experience working with and treating animals. Aside from helping pets and their pet parents, she has a special interest in animal behavioral issues. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys hiking, horseback riding, reading, running, and exploring different parts of the island. She looks forward to meeting and working with the many great clients who visit this practice.
Tara- Veterinary Tech Assistant
Hannah- Veterinary Tech Assistant
Hannah is a Biology student at the University of Hawaii with hopes of going to veterinary school to work with exotics and in conservation. From the day she was born, she was involved in animal rescue, and her passion for saving animals has never left her. She has worked with many different animals, and even traveled to Panama to work at a sloth rehabilitation facility. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and kayaking with her fur baby, Nalu.
