Laser Therapy

Laser therapy (Photobiomodulation)

Laser therapy (photobiomodulation) helps by stimulating growth and repair at a cellular level. The laser wavelength penetrates into the tissue and stimulates the mitochondria to better to utilize oxygen and produce energy, thus quickening healing and decreasing inflammation and pain. By promoting vasodilation, laser therapy helps to bring blood flow to the area, improves microcirculation in the damaged tissue and delivers oxygen, vital sugars, proteins, and salts while removing wastes. It is useful as a pain therapy for our arthritic pets, for post-op incisions and to quicken wound healing for lick granulomas. It also helps neurologic patients quicken their recovery.
