COVID-19 IVC Policy Update
Dear Island Veterinary Care, LLC friends and O'hana,
These are uncertain times for us all as we navigate through the current health threat of COVID-19. The last thing you need is to worry about is your pet’s health. The situation is rapidly evolving and we will keep you abreast the newest updates. We are here for you and will continue to be open.
Starting 8/17/20, our new hours of operation will be Monday - Saturday 7:30 a -6:00 p. We will be closed on Sundays. We will close daily from 12:00 p- 1:30 p for lunch and will be unavailable for phone calls, medication pick up or patient drop off/pick up. If you have an emergency during this 1.5 hour time, please call 808-368-0655. We are still available for after hours emergencies.

In alignment with the State of Hawaii emergency supplemental proclamation, we ask that all clients wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth when visiting essential businesses such as ours. We are wearing masks for your protection as well.
Now offering curbside service.
In an effort to keep everyone – you, your pet, and our staff – safe and healthy, we will be providing curbside or drop off service for our clients. Please call us at 944-0003 upon your arrival, and we will send a team member to transport your pet from your car into the hospital as well as to bring your food and medications to you. We are practicing social distancing with our clients and staff and will attempt to maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance.
For scheduled while-you-wait appointments, we will call you on your cell phone to discuss your pet's recent history and share the veterinarian's findings while you wait in the comfort of your car. Please make sure your pet is safely restrained with a leash or in a crate/carrier.
If you prefer not to wait, you may also drop your pet off with us. Our doctor will examine your pet and we will contact you when your pet is ready to go home. Please call ahead for availability to use this option.
Curbside and drop-off services are being offered to limit your public exposure and still maintain your pet's veterinary care. Think of this as VIP valet service for your pet!
Medication / Supplies Pick Up:
Please allow 24 hours minimum between an order and filling of your prescription or medications. To streamline service, we are able to process payment over the phone. Call us 10-15 minutes before you arrive and your items will be waiting for you on a table outside our front door for contactless pick up. An invoice can be provided as a hardcopy with your items or emailed to you.
If you are feeling at all unwell, may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, are in quarantine or have traveled off island within the last 14 days, please call us at 944-0003 for further instruction. We may ask that you:
- Arrange for a healthy friend or family member to bring your pet in, or
- If your pet is scheduled for a wellness or non-urgent visit and isn’t sick, please call us to reschedule your appointment.
We have always exercised extensive daily cleaning protocols that keep our facilities clean and sanitary. In addition to our regular cleaning, we have also added additional disinfecting protocols for extra protection, per the CDC's recommendations. Our staff and doctors are healthy & have had no travel history or known exposure to COVID-19.
