Island Veterinary Care

Both Dr. Bertram and Dr. Rachael Lau have been trained to perform acupuncture on pets. Dr. Rachael took additional training to become certified in veterinary acupuncture (CVA). 

 

Acupuncture helps with pain relief, quickens wound healing, improves neurologic function for our paralyzed or neurologically impaired patients, stimulates the appetite and helps increase the parasympathetic system for improving GI motility, digestion and can help reduce nausea.  It is a non-invasive, adjunctive therapy that has produced remarkable results.
